| Combustion system simulation

Fives designs machines, process equipment and production lines for the world’s largest industrial sectors, one such system uses exhaust gas to heat incoming air for combustion and to entrain burnt gas into the combustion process. To keep costs down Fives Stein asked Renuda to simulate three systems using different nozzle sizes to determine which design to test experimentally. Simulations were carried out using SALOME, Code_Saturne and SYRTHES.
