| Viscous Heating in an Aeration System (Danone)
Renuda was asked to determine the amount of viscous heating in a highly viscous fluid for various mass flows. This involved investigation of different rotational speeds and rotor / stator positions in an aeration system.
3D CFD simulations were carried out for the mixing vessel operating conditions. The simulations were validated against available experimental data, showing good agreement with this data. The analysis made it possible to identify high viscous heating configurations.
