EDF and Renuda have worked together on successful turbomachinery projects since 2007.
Two sample projects are available as case studies.
In the first project, EDF wanted to increase the power output of their nuclear power plants, necessitating a redesign for their HP turbine. An intermediate turbine instead of a complete redesign would avoid decommissioning the entire plant. Renuda determined the feasibility of both new and intermediate turbines, and the results showed it was possible to modify the turbine to increase power output without reducing operating efficiency.
"WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT RENUDA IS THAT THEY UNDERSTAND OUR JOB. RENUDA HAS A REAL KNOWLEDGE OF STEAM-TURBINE LOWS AND SO IT IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER AND TO WORK TOGETHER." Michel Guivarch, Consultant, Steam Turbines, EDF-DPN/UNIE
